We lead
such busy lives working, going to school, taking children to different
activities that often we do not stop and talk to our children. We usually do
not have time to sit around the dinner table and ask our children what they did
today. Familyvacations are so important, as it gives us a way to connect with
each other in a stress free relaxed environment. Families that take vacations
together build memories that will last a lifetime. Family vacations and travel
can be a most rewarding experience. When you are ready to

Christmas Vacation in Mexico is a
Great Way to Enjoy the Holidays

There are countless and beautiful places to visit around
the world. But a Christmas Vacation in Mexico is something you will always
remember as the best Christmas ever.
You can enjoy seeing different areas of Mexico via a
cruise ship. Or you can go to one of the tourist destinations for a holiday at
the beach. But many visitors to Mexico find the best Christmas vacation takes
place in the heart of the interior of Mexico, in Colonial Mexico.
As you leave the cold and dreary winter of where you live
and head to San Miguel de Allende or Cuernavaca or Guadalajara, or Ajijic,
Mexico you will be in awe.
You get the Sun-soaked days and mysterious and romantic
nights that will call you back year after year. And you can really get a taste
of the Mexican culture during a Christmas vacation in the land of eternal
spring.
The traditions of a Mexican Christmas are many. Mexican
Christmas starts around December 16th and does not end until January 6th by
celebrating Day of the Kings. This day of the Kings commemorates the day the
three wise men went to visit baby Jesus and present their gifts.
On the 6th of January, it is a tradition to have a small
gathering of family and good friends and eat this special sweet bread called
Rosca de Reyes, which is actually quite delicious and has yummy fruits baked on
top!
But this tasty, sweet bread is not any ordinary pastry. Nope,
this bread has something special hidden inside. If you happen to end up with a
piece of this pastry with one of these little figurines inside (which represent
baby Jesus) then you are supposed to host a small party on February 2. This day
is called Day of the Candles or Dia de la Candelaria
Christmas in Mexico is a time of many parties and
gatherings at the plaza. Mexico is an amazing place to celebrate this special
time of year.
If you stay in a vacation rental home in
Ajijic during your visit, you could enjoy your own Christmas traditions as well
as those of Mexico. Cook your traditional meal, sip your hot spiced ponche with
tequila, and open your presents. Play your special Christmas music while
sitting on the terrace and smelling the fragrance of the flowers this time of
year.
A Christmas vacation in Mexico is truly the best of all
worlds, visit soon!

One thing I love about Christmas music is that it has a tradition of warmth.
