VERMONT: THE GREEN MOUNTAIN STATE
Traveling has great educational value and increases of our
knowledge. While travelling, a person comes across people of different races,
religions, regions, etc. and also
visits different places. Each place has a historical importance of its own.
Traveling is also a source of great pleasure. It gives us respite from our dull
and dreary routine. It relieves us of our worries. It enables us to meet new people and know
their customs, habits and traditions. We can also know the different kinds of
food eaten by people belonging to different regions. When you want to plan a vacation

Vermont is a state that is best enjoyed outdoors.
Although it is the only New England state without a seashore, its border with
Lake Champlain more than compensates. The largest city, Burlington, affords
magnificent views of the water, and has many sporting and recreation areas. Vermont is the USA's third-largest ski state, with 16 alpine resorts and
just under 30 for cross-country skiing. Cruise down country lanes to
picturesque villages, with white-steeple churches, covered bridges and
hillsides ablaze with brilliant colors’ in the autumn. In the spring, sugar
maples are tapped for their famous maple syrup, second to none.
Vermont is known as a liberal state and is
regarded as one of the most LBGT-friendly states in the US. Same-sex couples
from all over the country travel to Vermont in order to be married, although
their marriage may not be recognized in their home state. The state has won
several accolades and awards for being one of the most healthiest, peaceful and
happiest states in the country. The locals are also very proud of their vast
green mountainous landscape and their leading export, maple syrup, which brings
in tourists from all over the world.
